South Beach Apartment

I rented a room at South Beach, and everything was wonderful! The room was very clean, and all the staff members were so friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
One of the sweetest moments was meeting the South Beach housekeeper. She was so lovely and caring, checking on us and asking if everything was okay or if we needed anything. She even kindly offered me a rain poncho from her own bag and told me that I could also get one for free at the front desk.
Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for her name, but I really wanted to mention how sweet and thoughtful she was. ❤️
Our three days here were peaceful, comfortable, and wonderful. Thank you, South Beach, for making our stay such a great experience! 😊

After contacting management, I received a written response doubling down on the employee’s behavior, stating he was “within his authority” to tell me and my dog to leave. It was not addressed once the hostile behavior presented by their employee. I understand that property rules can be enforced without a trespassing sign.

Their employees very first words to me were delivered in a hostile, threatening manner as he approached me off guard while I was alone. He continued using profanity and belittling language, and after I walked away, he then approached me again and then a third time. All being on public properly. Management’s response essentially justified the interaction by saying I should have simply removed my dog and left after the initial confrontation, completely overlooking how the interaction began and continued.

I find it extremely concerning that this behavior is considered acceptable for someone representing the property.
I would not feel safe letting my young daughters stay anywhere on this property (the email reminded me they are also responsible for 100 units spread across three streets. So be sure to do your research families)

Initial review: I cannot speak to the interior of the apartments or what it is like to be a paying guest, but I can speak to my experience as a neighboring guest at a nearby property.

The property manager approached me while I was walking my dog and immediately became hostile, using profanity and confronting me without any prior interaction. There was no visible private property signage or indication that I was violating any property rules. Even after the initial interaction, he continued walking toward me several minutes later while I was on the phone with the company’s corporate office.

Unfortunately, the corporate representative I spoke with appeared to side with the manager and focused on previous incidents involving animals on the property.

Regardless of the circumstances, the way I was approached and spoken to was completely unnecessary and intimidating. Based on my experience, I would be very uncomfortable staying somewhere that handles situations by immediately resorting to profanity, hostility, and confrontation especially towards woman simply walking her dog alone.

I booked here last minute after the place I'd rented for a small group for the weekend turned out to be quite uninhabitable. South Beach Apartments got us into a 2br same day and saved our weekend! They were cool about us using their amenities before the apartment was ready, and once we got the apartment it was clean top to bottom. The staff were all super nice. Extremely grateful for South Beach Apartments and Madison Beach Hotel, they're good folks.
